Last weekend, somewhere south of Mataró town, Maresme county, Barcelona province, Catalonia (by the seaside road and railway), I saw a quartered flag with five yellow and red horizontal stripes in I and IV (like the Barcelona city flag) and wavy white and blue horizontal stripes (not sure how many) in II and III. Hoisted on the balcony of a roadside town building. A pretty flag!
Just south of Mataró (either Premià del Mar or Vilassar del Mar), by the seaside road and railway, I saw a plain white flag with a coat of arms, hoisted on the balcony of a roadside town building.
