Description

According to El Periodico Mediterraneo, electronic edition of 3 December 2004, the city of Altura has a new flag and standard.

The designs unanimuously adopted by the Municipal Council on 18 December 2003 were approved by the Council of Heraldry and Vexillology. The flag has a "carmesi" (crimson) field with the municipal arms in the middle. The standard has a very similar design.

The Council of Heraldry and Vexillology must have been very busy, since it took them nearly one year to approve a basic design. :-)
