The flag's ratio is 2:3. It is a red over white over yellow horizontal tricolour with the coat of arms in the centre of the flag on the frontside only. The height of CoA is estimated at half of total height with the crown being in the red stripe and the fess point (?) – i.e. the bottom of shield – touching the yellow stripe.

Red is the colour of the Virgin of the Lights, the patron of Los Silos, who wears also a red coat in the coat of arms. White is the colour of the dynasty of Bourbons, who are again the rulers of Spain. Yellow is the colour of wheat, which gave the municipality its name.

The shield is divided per fess, the chief is divided per pale. The dexter chief shows in a silver (white) field an image of St. Mary of the Lights in natural colour, wearing a red coat. The sinister chief shows in a golden (yellow) field a black tower with silver windows and gate and silver masoned. The base shows in a blue field a mountain in natural colour topped by a black cross, having three black entrances. The shield is topped by a crown.

• The Virgin of the Lights is the municipality's patron.
• The tower is an image of an old fortress, known as El Torreón, having existed in old age on the municipality's territory in order to defend the shire against pirates from the 16th up to the 18th century.
• The mountain is the Aregume, and its entrances are the gates to the silos, having been carved out from the rock in order to preserve the wheat. These silos gave the municipality its name.
