Description

The designer was Blas Infante [see Historical Flags]. The current design was made official by Organic Law 6/81 of 30th December 1981, published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado 9th January 1982.

Specifications

The S.E.V. website uses a very dark green in Andalusian flags and shows legal texts containing two colour specifications, a CIELAB one:

Tono H (Hue)           180,0º
Croma C (Chroma)       35,0
Claridad L (Luminance) 38,0
Tolerance              Five CIELAB units
and a CIE 1931 one:
Y 6,7
x 0,203
y 0,359
Using the Colour Metric Converter, I found that the latter specification gives a very dark green indeed, RGB 0-77,5-69,8 whose nearest browser safe equivalent is RGB 0-102-51.

Municipal Flags

There is information and coats-of-arms of all the municipalities of the eight provinces of Andalusia at the SIMA website (Sistema de Información Multiterritorial de Andalucía).

It is a pity that heraldical precision is not one of the aims of this (official) website. The dexter side of the Villanueva del Arzobispo arms is shown yellow not blue (blazon says Azure) and the crown is depicted open not closed. The tower in Cazalilla's arms is shown yellow not white (blazon says Argent) and once more the crown is shown open. Not a good reference at all. However, it is useful in providing local statistical information.
