In FOTW, in general, ISO 3166 codes are used to file pages and images. Below is a list of names of countries present in FotW, linked to their flag pages, together with their three ISO-codes. Further information on the ISO 3166 lists can be found at the ISO website.
Some locations without ISO 3166 codes are included in the list below. They are provided purely as a convenience to our visitors for locating flags and do not imply anything about their diplomatic status. For information about ISO 3166-2 lists (for subnational entities), see Wikipedia.
For those countries included in this list that at one point had ISO 3166-1 codes assigned to them, those former codes are shown, as well as the current 4-letter codes of the ISO 3166-3 list for formerly used names of countries.
