The flag:
The
city flag was designed by simplifying the scene that appears on the city seal -
a palm tree on the left shore of the bay with the words “City of Palm Bay,
Florida” centered over the rising sun. The flag was designed by Dr. Elaine I.
Huggins and ordered in 1977. The city did not officially adopt the city flag
until December 3, 1981.
