Overview

Funtana is a community in Istria County established in 2006 by secession from the community of Vrsar. Italian name is Fontane. Estimated just under 1,000 inhabitants in a single settlement of the same name. Located between Porec and Vrsar around the bay known as Green Lagoon (Zelena laguna) the community primary industry is tourism.
On its web site and the official gazette available there, Funtana uses since its establisment, its historical coat of arms depicted in gold with black figures.
