Late last June, another brand new municipal flag was unveiled in Florida.
"Change has been a running theme lately in this city of fewer than 3,000
residents, so it seemed only fitting when officials decided to run a new flag up
the flag pole in front of City Hall. During a special ceremony June 30,
officials introduced the city's first official flag and welcomed 11 current and
new city employees to new jobs. Commissioners recently approved the creation of
the city's first flag, a detail that apparently was missed through the years
since the city incorporated in 1913. They decided the flag would bear Bunnell's
logo as its emblem and would be raised for the first time amid proper pomp and
circumstance to honor new and newly promoted city employees."
