"Per pale by vert and gules. Axes in saltire or; between
them are four cones of hop argent. The board is framed by a
wreath from branches of an oak vert, wheaten cones or and three
clusters of the viburnum gules, intertwined by the blue-yellow
tape, and crowned by territorial crown or.
Vert personifies natural resources, gules underlines a region
accessory to the Kyiv and Volyn' (in ancient times) which arms
had a gules field.
According to the legends, the word "Berdychiv" is
connected with the weapon. Wide long axe ("berdysh")
has an edge in the form of a half moon on a long stick. Two such
axes in a board display history of settling and defence against
aggressors, and also specify the regional centre in which arms is
axe. Hop cones personify diligence of inhabitants.
