Lubań county consists of the communes (gminy) Leśna, Lubań city, Lubań commune, Olszyna, Platerówka, Siekierczyn, Świeradów-Zdrój.
27 April 2000: The Lubań County Council approved of the design of crest and flag of the county. The crest can be used on approval of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Committee for Heraldic Affairs.
