Overview

Nova Bukovica is a community in the Virovitica-Podravina County, some 35 km southeast of Virovitica, just southeast of Slatina. Population 2,500, some 1,000 in the town of the same name.
Unfortunately, I don't have any background info to why the symbols were adopted in this form.
The coat of arms is: gules an unicorn rampant argent.
The flag is dark blue with the coat of arms in the middle bordered yellow.

The design of the coat of arms was made by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. from Rijeka.

The coat of arms and the flag are described in the Article 6 of the 2009 Statutes, available on line at the community web site: Statut Opcine Nova Bukovica, 14.07.2009, Službeni glasnik Opcine Nova Bukovica, br. 9/2009, 15.07.2009.
The coat of arms is blazoned most straightforward as: gules an unicorn argent.
