Overview

The Coat of Arms is Azure, a Mullet of Eight Or above Moon increscent. The flag is yellow with the coat of arms in the middle. Until 1997 the official name of the city was Podravska Slatina.

The design was apparently used in early 1990's, but the officially adopted pattern is based on the design published in the Laszowski Coffy HAG album of 1930's "Grbovi Jugoslavije", that is in turn based on the civic seal from around 1860, coloured by Laszowski. The current redention was done by Heraldic Art based on the 1930' pattern.

Design: Heraldic Art d.o.o. from Rijeka The design was approved by the Ministry of Administration/Central State Office for Administartion some time before 2006.

Same arms are used by Portsmouth in England. See wikipedia.

The images are based on the Heraldic Art drawings from the 2006 poster.
The web site of the city do not include regulations regarding the coat of arms and the flag, but it shows several artistic rendering of the coat of arms with smaller or greater artistic diferences, especially noticable regarding the drawing of the crescent and its face.
This is however, the usual heraldic practice.
Some of the variations I have seen used on the flag as well, notably such there the black outlines of the coat of arms and its elements are missing, and where therefore the moon face is differently stylized. Again, such variations are very minor.
