At <www.glasila.hr>
there is Odluka o odabiru motiva za izradu idejnog rjeenja
grba i zastave Opcine Sunja, 12. studenog 2002. Slubeni
vjesnik br. 21/02, 13. studenoga 2002.
The community decided on the symbols and began process for their
approval by the Ministry. The adopted proposal for the coat of
arms is a rectangular shield shape of light blue background with
five white wheels 2:1:2, and the flag of yellow background with
the coat of arms in the middle. The ceremonial flag elements are
also adopted - rectangular with four tails, two oak
branches beneath the coat of arms and name of the community
within a ribbon above it.
Sunja is a community in Sisak-Moslavina County, some 20 km south
east from Sisak on the right bank of
Sava river - actaully on Sunja river that from that point flows
parallely with Sava for an other 20 or so kilometers.

Since the coat of arms in the form as it is described on the
ceremonial flag is now shown of the community pages at <www.sunja.hr>, I assume that
the design was in the meantime approved and is used now.

The same site mentioned above now includes also a decision
"on the criteria for use of the coat of arms and the flag of
the Community of Sunja": Odluka o mjerilima za uproabu grba
i zastave Opcine Sunja, 18. svibnja 2004, Slubeni vjesnik
br. 18/04, 19. svibnja 2004. The decision include the description
of the coat of arms and the flag (same as 2002 decision), but not
of the ceremonial flag (which is not unusual). Among other things
that are interesting to us are the final determinations where
among others is invalidated a previous decision on the coat of
arms and the flag from 1995, namely: Odluka o grbu i zastavi
Opcine Sunja, Slubeni vjesnik br. 17/95. This means that
before the currents symbols an other set of symbols was used
(even if probably not approved by the Ministry of
Administration). Unfortunately, for the time being, this remains
unknown.
