Overview

The community of Lipovljani is in the Sisak and Moslavina County, some 65 km east of Sisak, 4,100 inabitants, almost 2,800 in the town of the same name. The community has rather large minorities of Ukrainians (4,32%), Slovaks (3,00%) and Czechs (2,44%) and also relatively large percentage of Greek Chatolics by religion (3,85%). In history it was known for the medieval fortified city in vicinity - Kraljeva Velika, which is nowdays mostly ruined. In the last half of the 20th century, the place was probably most well known as the ending station of the modern highway that was being beilt from Zagreb to Belgrade - the point where the highway "stopped" for some decades.
Tomnislav šipek located some images of coat of arms and the flag: Opcina Lipovljani pages,12.12.2006. Flags on the photo at SDP Sisacko-moslavacke županije, 12.12.2006.
The coat of arms of Lipovljani is: or a linden leaf issuant from a wall massoned and embatteled gules in base. The linden leaf is canting the name of the community (lipa = linden tree). The leaf might have some more details in design that I was unable to recognize from the low resolution images we have so far.
The flag is light blue with the coat of arms in the middle.
The official gazette covering period for 2000 until 2006 (today, rather up to date, since the nr. 49/2006 is dated 16 November 2006) does not have any mention on the coat of arms and flag of Lipovljani, so it must have been adopted before that date, probably around1999.
