The community of Sveti Lovreč (Sv. Lovrec<) is in the
Istria County, about 30 km west of Pazin,
between the cities of Poreč and Rovinj, inlands from the community of Vrsar, thus having the access to the
coast only deeply in the Lim channel. It counts about 1,400
inhabitants.
The Coat of Arms of the community was shown in
large scale on their new site at <www.sveti-lovrec.hr>
last month, but now the "under construction" page is
changed a bit, however, still showing a nice picture of the Coat
of Arms. We may hope for mor einfo on the page soon.
The coat of arms of Sv. Lovreč is: auzre a grill or.
This is the attribute of Sait Laurel, the patron and namesake of
the community.
The flag is probably also exsistent, but no info for the time
being.

Coat of Arms and flag were designed by Heraldic Art d.o.o from
Rijeka and approved by the Ministry of Administration/Central
State Office for Administration before 2006.

The flag of the community may be seen on a photo,
hoisted on the main square.
The flag is light blue with the coat of arms bordered yellow in
the middle.

The 2007 Statutes only determines existance of the coat of arms
and the flag and how they shall be determined. This may suggest
that in 2007 these symbols were not yet adopted (we noted them in
use first in early 2008.).

The 2009 Statutes includes now the description of the symbols.
The descriptions are rather straightforward: The coat of arms of
the Community of Sveti Lovrec is in a heart-shaped - triangular
shield in a blue field a golden - yellow grills with the handle
upwards. The flag of the Community of Sveti Lovrec is
monocoloured, light blue and in the middle of the flag at the
crossing point of its diagonals it is set on both sides the coat
of arms of the community bordered with golden yellow line. The
ratio of the width and length of the flag is 1:2.
