Novo Virje is community about 15 km east of Koprivnica and some 5 km NE of Šurdevac. It was established in 1997.
The statutes of the community issued in the official gazette
(<www.glasila.hr>)
describe the coat of arms and the flag: Statut Opcine Novo Virje,
30. rujna 2001. Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke
županije, br. 11/01, god. IX, Koprivnica, 5. listopada 2001.
The coat of arms of Novo Virje is: Azure a St. Joseph's staff
maroon issunat from base from which are issuing three lilies
argent. The flag is blue with white bordered coat of arms of Novo
Virje.
These symbols must have been adopted after 1998, I guess. The
community site at <www.novo-virje.hr>
shows the coat of arms.

Ministry of Administrytion approved the design on 17 February

The official gazette since 2000 is available on the web site
of the County at <www.kckzz.hr>
including decisions on symbols of its cities and communities. The
communities adopted new statutes in 2006, typically containing
the descriptions of coat of arms and flags adopted previously, so
I just quote them for documetry purposes:

include a project of digitazing of the regional journal Glas
Podravine, from its first issues in 1951.
- An article
from 1998 report that the community of Novo Virje named a
commission for adoption of the coat of arms. Another
issue from 1998 include the concourse for the coat of arms
and flag of Novo Virje, with prizes of 6000 and 4000 HRK (ca. 800
and 550 EUR).
- An article
from 1999 report that nn 30 April 1999 the new coat of arms
and flag of Novo Virje was consacrated in the local church.
