Description of the flag

The flag reported by Andersson [and92] is blue, red, and yellow – a variation on the Swedish flag. It was first used in 1992.

The flag was designed by Bisse Thofelt.

The symbolism of the colours are:

  • Blue: the sky, the mountains, the lakes, but most of all - poetry.
  • Red: the heart, the blood, and the cowberries.
  • Yellow: the cloudberries, and the sun.

Geography

Halsingland is a historical province of Sweden. It is situated on the coast a bit north of Stockholm.
