About the flag

The flag is quartered yellow and black, with the municipal coat of arms in the center: argent, a castle sable, litten and open of the first, a templar cross in the dexter chief and a Christ Order cross in the sinister. Mural crown of four towers (which, toghether with the quartered partition shows the municipality seat in town rank), and white scroll reading "VILA DE MOGADOURO" in black capitals. The castle, as usual, stands for the local castle and the two crosses relate to the monk-warrior orders that own the region after the conquest (Templars and, later, Christ Knights).
