Warmond municipality

Population (1 Jan 2003): 4.985; area: 14,43 km². Settlements: Warmond (seat).
The flag of Warmond: adopted 29 Mar 1965; description: two equally wide horizontal stripes of white and bright blue, with in the canton a blue square with the height of the white stripe, with a white cross of which the arms are 1/3 of the cantonheight.
According to the municipal webpage the blue color in the canton is Dutch flag blue, and the blue color in the bottom is much brighter. The image they show is from Derkwillem Visser's "Gemeentewapens en vlaggen Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, 2001".

On 1 January 2006 Warmond merged with Sassenheim and Voorhout to form the new municipality of Teylingen.

However, there was already a flag: two equally wide horizontal stripes of blue and white, with in the canton a white cross.
This flag was not official. Its colors were derived from the municipal arms.
