Feny�f� is a village in Veszpr�m County in Hungary near to
Town of P�pa (29 km south-east) in the Bakony Mountains. The
village has got 192 inhabitants (1990 census), Hungarians and
Germans. Neighbouring settlements are: P�patesz�r,
Bakonysz�cs, Bakonyb�l, Porva and Bakonyszentl�szl� villages.
The first mention is from 1230, all settlers of the village were
serf . At the time of the Turkish wars the settlement was
devastated (1536). The settlement was resettled with German
settlers in 1737 by the Esterh�zy Family. In 1910 Feny�f� was
a village in the P�pa district of Veszpr�m County. Number of
inhabitants in 1910: 463; 407 (87,9%) German, 57 (12,1%)
Hungarian by mother tongue, 458 (98,9%) Roman Catholic and 5
(1,1%) Calvinist by religion.
The CoA relates to the name of the village, which relates to the
beautiful pine-forest around the village (Old and original
pine-forest is unique in this territory)
