Lovrec is a community in the southern part of the Split
Dalmatia County, some 40 km south-east of Split,
20 km northwest of Imotski, in the
hinterland region known as Zagora. Population 3,600, with about
1,200 in the village of the same name.
The flag is recently manufactured, as far as I am aware without
any legal background. It is vertical red flag with the coat of
arms in the middle bordered white. The coat of arms is equally
unofficial, to the best of my knowlage. It may be blazoned so:
Gules a heater branch proper in bend and on a ribbon argent in
the base name of the community sable. The heater (Saturea
Illirica) is a plant groving abundantly in the region and is
famed for its medical characteristics. (see: Previous
Symbols)

On <www.lovrec.hr> one may notice
that the community adopted a new coat of arms, more in line with
the heraldic style prefered today in Croatia.

Contacting the community, I received some additional info.
They confirmed the adoption of the new symbols. The Central State
Office for Administration approved the design.
The new coat of arms is: gules a Winter Savory plant or with
seven (1:3:2:1) pairs of flowers. The Winter Savory is called in
Croatian vrijesak or locally vrisak.
The approved flag is white with the coat of arms bordered yellow
in the centre.
However, the mentioned site now includes a photo from the
assembly room at <www.lovrec.hr/zdravkoimate.jpg>,
where the ceremonial flag is to be seen: pale yellow gonfalon
with the coat of arms in the middle, the name of the community
above and green branches below - the left one seems to be olive,
the right one is not visible on the photo. Also the fly end of
the flag is not visible.
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic
Art d.o.o. from Rijeka.

The plant is Winter Savory (a.k.a Russian Tea, Bean Herb).
Latin name, Satureja montana L. (synonym, S.
illyrica Nyman), Family Lamiaceae.
See the Plant and more details on the uses of the plant at <www.pfaf.org>.

I received answer from Ante Babic, the mayor of the community
of Lovrec, providing an excellent drawing of the coat of arms,
probably the one provided by the designer. From it I prepare the
images.
