Overview

Fericanci is a community in the western edge of the Osijek-Baranja County, about 50 km west of Osjiek and until 1997 it was part of the Požeško-Slavonska County. Population about 3,000, some 2,000 in the village of the same name. Fericanci is situated on the northern slopes of Krdnija mount, part of the Cetral-Slavonian mountains encircling Pozega, known for the excellent vine production. Therefore, the Coat of Arms shall not be dificult to interpret. The coat of arms is or a vine press proper with two bunches of grapes azure and leaves vert. The Coat of Arms is shown on the apparently semi-official web site of the community at <homepage.hispeed.ch/fericanci/fericanci/opcina.php>. It is shown in the "ceremonial form" with the wreath of grain beneath (in style we already have seen before). Probably such Coat of Arms appears on the ceremonial flag. However, so far I have no info on flags whatsoever.

The flag is light blue with the Coat of Arms bordered golden in the middle of it. This is clearly seen on the photos of the flag hoisted on the community building at <homepage.hispeed.ch>. There is probably also a ceremonial flag, but this we have to find out yet.

Coat of Arms and flag were designed by Heraldic Art d.o.o from Rijeka and approved by the Ministry of Administration/Central State Office for Administration before 2006.
