Overview

The community of Molve is about 15 km SE of Koprivnica with about 2,000 inhabitants. The coat of arms and the flag are described in the statutes of 2001 issued in the official gazette (avilable on <www.glasila.hr>): Statut Opcine Molve, 4. listopada 2001. Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko- križevacke županije, br. 11/01, god. IX, 6. listopada 2001. They must have been adopted somewhat earlier, say about 1997.
The coat of arms of Molve is Azure over a bar argent a millhouse of the same. The official community site at <www.molve.com> showes it with beautifully made Flash animation with the animated mill-wheel.
The flag is blue with white bordered coat of arms in the middle.

Ministry of Administration approved the design on 3 January 1996 (according to [ern03]). It is designed by Vanja Garaj, who latter also designed Novo Virje symbols.
The flag is prescribed blue with white bordered coat of arms in the middle. However, de facto flags is use, shown on 2003 Koprivnica exhibition have the coat of arms without the white border, only black, somewhat bolder line, instead.

The official gazette since 2000 is available on the web site of the County at <www.kckzz.hr> including decisions on symbols of its cities and communities. The communities adopted new statutes in 2006, typically containing the descriptions of coat of arms and flags adopted previously, so I just quote them for documetry purposes:

The web site at <library.foi.hr> include a project of digitazing of the regional journal Glas Podravine, from its first issues in 1951.
- An article from 1995 reporting the community of Molvestarting the process of adoption of the symbols. Another article from 1995 includes the concourse for Molve - prises 4000, 1500 and 1000 HRK and there is short report also in another article.
- Another article from 1995 brings us up to date with the adoption process of coat of arms and flag of Molve. Molve awarded designs by Vanja Garaj from Koprivnica, Željko Oslavac from Virovitica and Draženka Jalšic from Koprivnica, while the first was chosen to be propose for the final adoption.
- An article from 1996 reports on a proposal for the Decision on amendments of the Decision on the coat of arms and the flag of Molve, without reporting any more details on it - even if any previous articles had no hint that there is any problem with the coat of arms of Molve...
- Another article from 1996 announces the consacration ceremony for the coat of arms and the flag of Molve on 11 August 1996. Another issue report that The consecration was made in the parish church of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Molve, (including the flag of the local fire brigade), the coat of arms is said to have been approved by the Ministry. The design by Vanja Garaj. Includes a drwaing of the coat of arms.
