Overview

The official gazette of Koprivnica and Križevci County is available on line at <www.glasila.hr>. In the on-line numbers one can find descriptions of coat of arms and flags of communities, mainly in their statutes adopted in 2001 (after some non-flag related administrative changes requiering adoption of new statutes). So, these statutes do not introduce the symbols. Further on, not all new statutes describe the symbols. Some only mention that there is some other decision regarding the coat of arms and flag (sometimes quoting the titile, sometimes not), and sometimes there is provision that such decisions shall be made.
One of them is Statut Opcine Ferdinandovac, 28. rujna 2001. Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, br. 12/01, god. IX, Koprivnica, 11. listopada 2001.
The coat of arms is: Vert St. Ferdinand haloed and holding a flag and sword all or and in base a bar argent.
Of course, St. Ferdinand is the patron of Ferdinandovac. The bar in base represents river Drava, and green field around it stands for the fertile plains and rich oak woods of Ferdinandovac region.
The flag is green with yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.

According to [ern03], Ministry of Administration approved the design on 13 July 1995. Also designers are named: Željko Moslavac & Spomenko Relic. Ferdinandovac is named after the King Ferdinand V (of Hungary/Croatia, a.k.a. Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria) who buit the town after urbanistic principles.

The official gazette since 2000 is available on the web site of the County at <www.kckzz.hr> including decisions on symbols of its cities and communities. The communities adopted new statutes in 2006, typically containing the descriptions of coat of arms and flags adopted previously, so I just quote them for documetry purposes:
Ferdinandovac: Statut Opcine Ferdinandovac, 23.01.2006, Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko- križevacke županije, br. 1/06, 26.01.2006.

The web site of the community depcits the coat of arms and the flag
The fact is that in the Ernecic's catalogue [ern03], the coat of arms is without the halo, while the flag photographed there clearly includes the halo. It is probably an error in depiction of the coat of arms, although, the halo is clearly mentioned in the blazon.

The web site at <library.foi.hr> include a project of digitazing of the regional journal Glas Podravine, from its first issues in 1951.
- An article from 1994 includes the concourse for the coat of arms and flag of Ferdinandovac with the pretty standard propositions.
- An article from 1997 includes drawing of the coat of arms of Ferdinandovac. It is described: standing figure of St. Ferdinand, patron of the community, village and parish of Ferdinandovac, on a green field symbolizing the fertile plain, nature, grasslands, woods, flora and fauna of the region. Silver stripe stands for Drava river. The flag is green with the coat of arms in the middle.

From the official gazettes:
The description of the coat of arms and the flag is repeated in the new 2009 Statutes equal to the 2006 statutes: : Statut Opcine Ferdinandovac, 13.07.2009, Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, br. 10/2009, 16.08.2009. str. 885.
