Overview

Slivno is a community in the Dubrovnik Neretva County, some 50 kn north of Dubrovnik, to the south of the Neretva river delta and north of the Bosnia and Herzegovina corridor towards the sea at Neum. The community has about 2,000 inhabitants, and the seat of the community is a village of Vlaka just at the south edge of the Neretva delta, with about 300 inhabitants. There are 17 other villages and small towns in the community, the southernmost being Klek, just at the border with B&H.
The flag of the community is shown on a photo at the County web site <www.edubrovnik.org> where the County Mayor, Mira Buconic is holding the flag during the ceremonial session of the community assembly on the Ascension Day, 15 August 2008, also celebrated as the Day of the Community. Presumably, this is when the flag was first presented to the public.
The flag is blue with the coat of arms bordered white in the centre.
The coat of arms of Slivno is: per fes wavy or and azure from which is issuing a hawk (?) argent displayed.
The photo does not provide for detailed drawing of the coat of arms and the flag.
