Vratišinec is a community in the Medimurje County, some
10 km north of Cakovec. 2,200
inhabitants, some 1,500 in the place of the same name.
For the time being no info on symbols in use. The web site of the community
uses blue and red with a white flower emblem (daisy?), but this
does not indicate anything yet. However, we have an official
document revealing a bit more: Odluka o razrješenju i
imenovanju clanova Komisije za idejno rješenje grba i
zastave Opcine Vratišinec, 19.04.2004, Službeni glasnik
Medimurske županije, br. 2/06, 20.03.2006. The decision
appoints the members of a commission to adopt a coat of arms and
flag design - meaning that the adoption of the new symbols is,
hopefully, under way.

the community adopted symbols in June or July 2007, as could
be see on "VRATIŠINEC: Grb i zastava konacno
osmišljeni", 26.06.2007. Medimurje, županijske
novine at <www.medjimurje.hr>
and on a photo at <kud-vratisinec.hr>.
The coat of arms of Vratišinec is: azure
a cross double pattee issuant from the base and in the chief a
feather argent fesswise. On the abovementioned site it is sadi
that the cross stands for religious values and the feather for
music and education that Vratišinec is proud of.
The flag is light blue with the yellow bordered coat of arms in
the middle.

I have taken a look at the newly issued official gazettes in
the Medimurje county <www.glasila.hr> and
I report here some news:
The decision: Odluka o razrješenju i imenovanju clana
Komisije za idejno rješenje grba i zastave Opcine
Vratišinec, 15.03.2007, Službeni glasnik Medimurske
županije, br. 3/07, 23.03.2007, changed a member of a
commission established in 2004 to elect new design of the
symbols.
The decision: Odluka o usvajanju rješenja za izradu grba i
zastave Opcine Vratišinec, 11.06.2007, Službeni glasnik
Medimurske županije, br. 6/07, 30.06.2007, decides
upon a design for the new symbols, in a single sentence of the
decision. It does not reveal which design it is, but presumably,
this was already the design latter adopted.
The decision: Statutarna odluka o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave
Opcine Vratišinec, 05.10.2007, Službeni glasnik
Medimurske županije, br. 11/07, 30.11.2007, adopts
the symbols, finally. The coat of arms of Vratišinec is:
azure a a cross patriarchal maron issuant from the base and in
the chief a feather argent fesswise.
The cross stands for religious values and the feather for music
and education that Vratišinec is proud of.
