The community of Rovicce is situated in the Bjelovar-Bilogora
County, some 10 km west of Bjelovar
along the main way leading from it to Zagreb.
It has about 5,000 inhabitants, about 1,250 in the main
setllement of the same name.
The web site of the
community of Rovisce pictures a Coat of Arms
like device so: azure on a mount vert in sinister a guardsman
stantant clead in jacket purpure, white trourses, red cap and
jacket facings, belt with gear proper and holding an upright long
rifle, in dexter a tree grove proper and in between a corn ear
or, in canton chequy gules and argent, 5×5, and in chief
sinister two oak leaves vert, inscribed in base sinister 1232 and
over the canton 1993. Encircled with a goledn tripple wattle
bearing inscription above OPC'INA and below ROVIC'E.
The guardsman reminds on the traditions from the period of
Military Frontier. The year 1232 is when Rovice (Royoha)
was first mentioned in a document by herzog Koloman, king of
Slavonia. At the period it was a county center and several
sessions of Slavonian nobility assembly was held there until the
end of 15th century. After the liberation of Slavonia from the
Turks, the setllement loses its importance and becomes mere a
village. The year 1993 is when the community was established.
This emblem is probably rejected by the central authorities and
is in unofficial use. There is, to the most probability, no flag
to go with it.

In the mean time , it seems that the community acquired a flag
with that (unapproved!) coat of arms as seen at <www.opcina-rovisce.hr>
(reported by Ivan Grbac). Image is done by using the clipart
from the community web site.
