Flag adopted for the Bubi people, which live in Bioko Island (Equatorial Guinea). Ratio 2:3. No more details. In the process of decolonization from Spain, the Bubis were left under power of the peninsular people of Fang, lead by the Nguema clan. Many Bubis have been refugee in Catalonia or Euskadi.
Jaume Ollé 11-MAY-1996
The Bubi flag used by the movement "Grupo Nacionalista Bubi 1 de Abril" (Group of Bubi Nationalists 1st April) is blue, white, green horizontal. In the center (in white stripe) is a black four pointed star. The Movement claim the independence of the Bioko Island, not under the Bubi name of Eri, but under the name of Fernando Poo (the colonial Spanish name).
