The official flag of the municipality of Le Juch was created in
1999 by Bernard Le Brun. The flag includes the arms of the Barons of
Le Juch, whose lineage extincted at the end of the XVth century:
Azure, a lion argent armed and langued gules. The four
ermine spots represent the four sections of the municipality. The
cross, here blue, recalls the Breton flag in
the Crusades times (black cross on a white field), because the
Barons of Le Juch have went on the Crusades. The soldiers
from the glazik (blue) country, to which Le Juch belongs, are
supposed to have worn blue crosses.
The flag was officially presented on Sunday 4 April 1999 during
the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the
municipality. There is also a vertical version of the flag.
