In the introduction of [pon76], probably written by Luis Ripoll Arbós in 1976, on page 4 this flag had been described as “a blue piece of cloth having a yellow square in its upper right part” (the Spanish source text: “un rectángulo de tela azul, con un cuadro Amarillo en la parte superior derecha (!) de la misma”). Here I was a little bit confused; according to this description the yellow square would be in the upper fly, which I can't believe – I think, that José Carlos's version is right. Also the flag given by him seems to be part of the yacht club burgees of RNCP and El Arenal. Can somebody help?
The author also mentions that this registry flag in the 19th century was “by a great part of the people of Mallorca considered as their proper flag.”
