Description

Ensign for ships belonging to the Army which operated in North African waters 1931-1934. Same as the national flag with the caption "COMPAÑIA DE MAR" (sea company) centred on the purple stripe in black lettering. The 1931 Order did not specify the latter colour but a later one did, since it modified the colour from black to white — which stood out better against the wider, purple stripe. Very similar to the previous 1911-1931 flag.
