Erzgebirgskreis county rejected flag

Erzgebirgskreis (English: Ore Mountains county) is a county (Kreis) in the Free State of Saxony, Germany.
It is named after the Erzgebirge ("Ore Mountains"), a mountain range in the southern part of the county which forms part of the Germany-Czech Republic border. It borders (from the west and clockwise) the counties of Vogtlandkreis and Zwickau, the urban county Chemnitz, the county Mittelsachsen and the Czech Republic.
The county was established by merging the former counties of Annaberg(-Buchholz), Aue-Schwarzenberg, Stollberg and Mittlerer Erzgebirgskreis as part of the county reform of August 2008.
The county contains the western part of the Erzgebirge, which also forms the border with the Czech Republic. Several rivers that rise in the Erzgebirge flow through the county, including Zwickauer Mulde and Zschopau.
The county of Erzgebirgskreis adopted news symbols on November, 27 2008. The official approval was granted on December 18, 2008.

The flag is horizontally divided green-yellow (1:1) with the CoA of the county of Erzgebirgskreis in the center of cloth.

Das bogenförmig zweigeteilte Wappen zeigt in der oberen Hälfte einen schwarzen, schreitenden, rotbewehrten Löwen auf goldenem Grund, weil die Region früher zur Markgrafschaft Meißen gehörte. Im unteren Teil kreuzen sich Hammer und Schlägel. Sie deuten auf den jahrhundertelangen Bergbau in der Region hin.
