Overview

Floresta is a municipality in the Colombian Department of Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Tundama Province. It was founded on 31 October 1810.
The flag of Floresta is combined from 14 horizontal stripes in alternating blue-red and charged in its center with a tree.

The 14 stripes are used as bends in the point of the municipal coat of arms. They represent the 14 hamlets ("veredas") forming the municipality.
