Overview

El Cidral Island (Simokuburojo) is located at the Barra of Pedernales on the Gulf of Paria and is a part of Delta Amacuro State on the east of Venezuela.
The Red Symbolyse the Scarlet Ibis since the name of the island (Cidras) is the spanish name for this colourful bird. The white triangle alludes to the Purity of the Warao ethnic group, predominant inhabitants of the island. The blue stripe represent the sky and the green the magnificent rain forest of the Island. The star Represent the only town on the island of El Cidral It was created by Mr. Peter Ponce, inhabitant of El Cidral Island.
