Overview

San Francisco is a rural municipality, created 1995 on the outskirts of the city of Maracaibo in Zulia state, Venezuela, along Lake Maracaibo. On its homepage you can be found its flag at <www.san-francisco.org/ban01.htm>.
I gather the flag was designed by a 12-year old girl .Coat of Arms and info in Spanish at <www.san-francisco.org/escu01.htm>.

Here is the translation of the information from the site:
"Through a school contest set up by the Town Mayor, 12-year-old student Astrid Fasciola designed the flag of San Francisco. Blue colour stands for the waterside setting of the city with respect to Maracaibo Lake; the great potential for industrial and commercial development, is represented by intense yellow; and the hopes put by San Francisco's inhabitants in agricultural activity as the manager of progress and growth is represented by green."
Santiago Dotor, 27 September 1999

Recently we had the occasion to be in International Airport "La Chinita" on jurisdiction of the Municipality, where I could appreciate directly and personally that the blue triangle ends in points and not in straight lines at superior and inferior parts of the hoist as reported before.
