    Based on the webpage at members.aol.com/_ht_a/txflags/orange.html, where it is stated that this flag was adopted on 12 August 1985, after a contest won by Michael Howard. Meanings have been ascribed to the colors. White stands for industry, green for agriculture, and orange for the name of the county.

    Orange County is located by the sea, near the Louisiana border.
    County Seat: Orange. Area: 362 sq. mi. Pop. in 2000: 84 966 inh.
