Description of the flag

City of Houston flag was adopted in 1915.

Light blue with an large white five pointed star, on it inside a light blue ring, the city seal, devoid of its rope outline. The seal features a star, a locomotive and a plow, and the inscriptions "City of Houston" and "Texas". Height of the star (and not of its enscribing circle) approx. 17/18 high. Ratio: 1:2.
