Description of the flag

On 3 June 2009, Julie Howle reports in "The Greenville News" the adoption of the flag of Easley (with a colour photo showing the flag presented by its designer):

"Ellie Youngs, who is graduating from Easley High School, created the winning design for the city of Easley's first flag.
[...]
Easley Mayor Larry Bagwell said there were 36 entries in the contest and said they came from residents and students. He said city council members chose their five favorite designs and Youngs' came away with the most points. “We all basically loved it,” Bagwell said. “It incorporates everything. You've got the American flag, the state flag, and you've got our signature. Designs had to incorporate the city's seal, he said, and the award for the winner is a $100 check.
[...]
We're going to put a place for a permanent flag, this flag, to fly,” he said, adding that the flag could be used at different functions as well.
[...]
Bagwell said this is the first flag for the city.
[...]
Youngs, who is going to be an art major at Anderson University, said she heard about the contest from her art teacher. Her design incorporated the city seal along with three parts representing the American flag, the S.C. flag and a cityscape of Easley. “I just wanted to elaborate on the seal,” Youngs said. “I just messed around with a few designs and tried some things out, and this one seemed the best way to incorporate the seal into a flag while keeping it somewhat simple."
