The Village of Waterville is located along the banks of the Maumee River in
Lucas County, in northwestern Ohio. The official 2000 population of the Village
is 4,828, an increase of 6.5% over the 1990 population. Although the village is
growing by leaps and bounds, Waterville still maintains its small town feeling.
Waterville offers a wide variety of neighborhoods, from historic settings on
River Road to the contemporary developments on Waterville-Monclova Road.
Waterville residents take pride in the village’s historic background; the entire
community gathers once a year to celebrate its founders. Residents can enjoy the
safety of a small community, with easy accessibility to larger cities like
Maumee and Toledo
- from official village website:

It is a blue flag with a narrow red-white-red stripe on the hoist and fly edges, a map of Lucas County in red, and a white star identifying the location of the village. From the star four white lines extend out to an ellipse bearing in illustration of a bridge. Below on a white ribbon is written the name and date of Waterville.
