From the Village Code of the Village of East Rockaway, Nassau County, NY:

Chapter 37, FLAG, OFFICIAL

[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of East Rockaway 4-14-1969 by resolution. Section 37-1 amended at time of adoption of Code; see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I. Other amendments noted where applicable.]

§ 37-1. Adoption.

The official flag of the Village of East Rockaway shall be adopted as set forth below. Said flag shall have upon it the inscription "Incorporated Village of East Rockaway, New York," and upon it, further, there shall be placed the official insignia of the Village of East Rockaway in a circle. The flag shall be placed on a background of orange, and the coloring on said circle shall be white with a black and white outline depicting a pleasure boat, fish and shellfish in local waters and the entire orange flag trimmed with gold fringe.
