Description of the Flag

The flag of the City of Kirksville, Missouri, has a dark blue background and the city logo on it. However, the whole design remains unknown, because the city administration has no picture of it, just a partial photo showing the central part - the logo and a stripe beginning of it going to right. Here is an explanation of the logo: "The City logo, which appears on our city flag, was designed by a Councilwoman and drawn by a local student from Northeast Missouri State University (now known as Truman State University) in 1980 which depicts Industry (beaver); Agriculture (cow); Home of Osteopathy (osteopathy symbol); Education (Owl)".

Kirksville, Missouri (pop 17,304), the largest city in the Northeast part of the State of Missouri; also the County Seat of Adair County.
Information thanks to Vickie Brumbaugh, CMC, MRCC, City Clerk, City of Kirksville.
