Description of the flag

The flag of the City of Madison Heights, Michigan, consists of two horizontal green stripes, one near the top and the other near the bottom, and the city logo in green version in the center of the flag, all on a white background. The city logo contains an eagle and capital letters "MH" in a circle, and "MADISON HEIGHTS" and "CITY OF PROGRESS" around, divided with three little stars on both ends.

The logo and flag were adopted in 1975. "The current city logo was born of a CACCI (Citizen Advisory Committee for Community Improvement) special project. Designs for the logo and the flag were prepared by the member Ed Hulyk. The City Council approved the project and by November 1974 and the flags were ordered by April 1975. The City Council officially adopted new symbols on 18.02.1975.
Information, and images of the logo and the flag thanks to Kathy Vesprini, Executive Assistant, City Manager's Office, City of Madison Heights.
