Webster's New International Dictionary (c. 1927) shows for Boothbay Harbor a white burgee with a red saltire and at the hoist a dark blue 5-pointed star. This flag is also shown at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club site (http://www.bhyc.net/).

The flag has a green background with a white circle. In the circle is a green map of Maine, with a white sailboat on top. The words DOWN EAST FLEET appear above the map in green, and MAINE appears below it, also in green.
Flag first sent by Kevin Harrington; further information by Peter Edwards.

I asked Google to find out what organization this pennant belongs to, and from preserved snippets of vanished websites (the bane of the Internet) I suspect it belongs to an interscholastic sail-racing league.
