Chevy Chase is a town in Montgomery County, Maryland. In addition, a number of villages in the same area of Montgomery County include "Chevy Chase" in their names. The town and the villages share a common history and together form a larger community referred to as "Chevy Chase."
An unusual flag from the village is mentioned in the description of the coat of arms. See http://www.ccvillage.org/layout.cfm?cat=30&subcat=34&cc=2. It says "The Village flag waves above all." Triangular
flag with no description I see.

I'm not sure if it is really supposed to be triangular, or if it just appears that way because of the way it is illustrated as waving. There is a slightly better view of it in the image of the coat of arms on the Town's police uniform patch. See http://members.aol.com/Lev928/CCVPD.jpg. Still not large and clear enough to be able to describe the flag adequately, but at least we can see that it is yellow or gold with black markings.
