Description of the flag

A white flag with an green map of Massachusetts, a yellow star in each corner of the flag, and the seal of the town in the center, consisting of a blue outer ring with the town and state name, and  blue disk, edged yellow, with the town and state name. In the center is a yellow disk an illustration of a local landmark, and the text LET THE CHILDREN GUARD WHAT THE SIRES HAVE WON and the date 1655. Chelmsford is in Middlesex County.
