The city's flag is horizontally divided orange over blue by a widening white curve. In the lower blue field is the city name and motto; in the upper hoist is the city seal

I can only add that the said motto is "The International City", composed in italic sans-serif capitals, while the wording "City of Long Beach" is set in regular sans-serif capitals, larger than those used in the motto; both
inscriptions in white letters. The seal shows on a golden yellow background a scallop shell contour onto which a local landscape scene is depicted.
The seal as depicted on the flag lacks the outer lettered rim, unlike at www.ci.long-beach.ca.us/, www.ci.long-beach.ca.us/img/branding/brand_default.gif, or

(all these are authoritative depictions in official sites.) Additionally, the seal on the flag is separated by thin white edging.
