The flag of the City of Brewton, Alabama, has the following description: "The City seal is imposed over a State of Alabama design, which comes from its flag during the Civil War. You see a tree in front of a giant sawmill blade, which portrays the area's wood and pulp industry. The book and lamp of knowledge stands for education. The "City of Brewton" on a scroll stands for the paper industry. On the left and right side are blueberry plants, which are grown extensively here. The factory and smoke stacks are for industry and the paper mills. I'm not sure why there is an atomic symbol."
Information and image of the flag thanks to John F. P. Angel, CMC, City Clerk
/ Treasurer, Brewton, AL.
