Description of the Flag

On 22 October 2009, Jeff Thompson reported in "The Tuskegee News" the dedication of the first county's official flag, which was celebrated on 16 October 2009. A colour photo of the flag is attached to the article.

Quoting Jeff Thompson, "The Tuskegee News", 22 October 2009:
"[...]
On Friday morning, October 16, Macon officials and government representatives took a historic step in dedicating the county’s first official flag, which in itself celebrates a union of Macon’s municipalities by listing all four.
[...]
The flag was partly designed by Booker T. Washington High School ninth-grader Tylon Douglas. His rendering was selected in May 2009 from a field of 13 of his peers in a contest co-sponsored by the Macon County Commission and the Alpha Xi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Though the final product only slightly resembled Douglas’ original rendering, the design is clearly his. Douglas said he felt honored to have contributed to what will surely be a lasting piece of Macon County pride.
[...]
Members of the Macon County Commission unveiled the flag during the hour and 45 minute ceremony and Douglas added to his historical contribution by raising it at the courthouse for the first time.

On the colour photo attached to the article, the flag appears to be blue with a red saltire and the county's seal in the middle. There are white writings in the quarters:
- top: MACON COUNTY / FRANKLIN
- right: NOTASULGA
- bottom: SHORTER
- left: TUSKEGEE
There is a darker blue star in the right quarter, maybe another one, or something else, in the left quarter.

Quoting Jeff Thompson, "The Tuskegee News", 14 May 2009:

"A rendering by Tuskegee Institute Middle School (TIMS) student Tylon Douglas was selected to be part of the official flag for Macon County in a recent contest co-sponsored by the Macon County Commission and the Alpha Xi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
[...]
Douglas, an eighth grader, received a cash prize of $125 for placing first in the contest and will have his work displayed in the top-left corner of the county’s official flag. The county flag will resemble the American Flag, having several stripes of light blue, white and gold in place of our nation’s well-known red and white. Commission Chair Louis Maxwell said Douglas’ rendering will be sent to a professional company for “touch-ups” before being finalized. A first draft of the complete flag should be ready in approximately three weeks.
