Description of the Flag

The UN is having a mission in Georgia named UNOMIG - United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia. I have received a table flag, sized approximately 15×22,5 cm of the mission, from a member of Croatian Armed Forces who served a year in the mission there. I do not know if this is a simply a souvenir flag made for the mission members or if there is a "real" flag of the mission of the same pattern, but in any case, it should be recorded.

The flag is patterned on the UN flag, light blue with the white UN emblem in the middle, slightly moved upwards, flanked with a dark blue inscription on each side, being the abbreviation of the mission in English and Russian UNOMIG and МООННГ - and in the bottom the full name of the mission, again in English and in Russian: United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia and Миссия ООН по Наблюдению в Грузии.

I don't know if there are other such flags in other missions and if there is a pattern to it, but I seem to remember somewhat a similar flag of the Baltic Battalion in Bosnia and Herzegovina
