From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Rectangular panel with ratio 2:3. In the red field is direct cross from yellow mace and sable edges to staff; from staff goes vertical yellow strip with black trypillya ornamental. The width of cross is equal to 2/3, staff strip is equal to 1/6 of flag length."

"Gules; sable pale with or border, in which is or Trypillya ornamental. In the first field is or mace in pale, in the second is or cossack sabre in pale edge up. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or territorial crown. The authors are A.Orel, O.Rydnyk, S.Dudjuk."
